Change can be so scary-- sometimes we have to remind ourselves that it can be exciting too.

Out on the town

My husband's duo played out last night at a local pub. It was really nice to hear the music out of the livingroom and in a more honky-tonk atmosphere where it belongs. It was a great time!

After the most horrible day at work where many beloved co-workers got laid off, the music helped get my mind off things.

Something that has really been modified recently is the way we communicate. It seems that people rarely send 'real' mail anymore. I'm so glad my mother-in-law still sends letters and packages to my son so he can grow up knowing the fun of mail arriving in the mailbox.

That is one reason why I love to make notecards. I know that when someone buys a set it means that six people out there will get a happy surprise soon-- an actual handwritten letter!

*The flowers are made from old privacy envelopes from bills, modified a bit to be turned into flowers. (Much more fun to receive.)
