Illustration Friday - Modify
Something that has really been modified recently is the way we communicate. It seems that people rarely send 'real' mail anymore. I'm so glad my mother-in-law still sends letters and packages to my son so he can grow up knowing the fun of mail arriving in the mailbox.
That is one reason why I love to make notecards. I know that when someone buys a set it means that six people out there will get a happy surprise soon-- an actual handwritten letter!
*The flowers are made from old privacy envelopes from bills, modified a bit to be turned into flowers. (Much more fun to receive.)

Love how the flowers explodes out of the envie. And also how you have used the old privacy envies.
ReplyDeletebeautiful!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I love it :-)
ReplyDeleteFun!
ReplyDeleteso nice. I love the idea of using that familiar inside-envelope pattern as something coming out of the envelope. I totally agree with you about handwritten letters. I sponsor a woman in Nigeria, and one of the things I love is that we get to write real hand-written letters to one another.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely agree with you. I would like to receive one from you.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more. The boys just participated in a pen pal exchange, and they were crazy about it. Maybe we need to do that between them and S. Could be fun.
ReplyDeleteI agree, your flowers bring new life to those papers. What a great idea!
